Jon Chris Corton sees Brave 22 as perfect platform to make his mark

Team Lakay flyweight Jon Chris Corton wants to make the most of Brave 22 inclusion.

When Jon Chris Corton found out of his inclusion in Brave Combat Federation’s maiden event in the Philippines, he couldn’t hide his delight. More than the opportunity to represent the country once again, he looks forward to the event itself. For him, this provides Filipino fighters another platform to display their skills on a wider scope.

Corton is among the ten Pinoys fighting on March 15 – half coming from the famed Team Lakay stable. He returns to the cage of Brave after his successful debut last year at Brave 16. For his second assignment in the Bahrain-based outfit, “Happy Feet” now faces Abdul Hussein.

Like him, the Finland-based Lebanese is coming off a win of his own. He perceives the upcoming match-up as a good gauge of where he stands in the promotion’s 125-pound division.

Bearing the famous red Lakay shorts entails expectations according to Corton.
This went even higher in recent years after his Manongs’ success. Aiming to be successful in his own right, he treats this as a positive challenge to prove his worth not only to his team, but also to the Pinoy fight fans.

And as he gets his chance next week, Corton hopes to make the most of it. He wants to continue winning until he can hoist up the gold of his won one day.
